Level 2 Burlesque by ChrisKPhotography

Are you ready to level up your group burlesque act skills? Level 2 Group Choreo has been created for those with a little experience under their belt and who are excited by sharing the stage with other burlyQ babes!

In Level 2 Group Choreo you will learn a choreographed group burlesque act and perform it on stage in The student Showcase at The Ruba!

What makes Level 2 different from Level 1?

  • Class will move at a faster pace and choreography will be technically more challenging.

  • Introductory floor-work will be included.

  • More dynamic uses of timing.

  • Performers will have short solo performance sections during the act.

  • Strength exercises are incorporated during warmups to support floor-work skills!

  • Costuming: In addition to students being expected to supply their costume pieces based on the silhouette and color palette, they will also be adding embellishments such as rhinestones and trim.

Prerequisites:

Students must feel confident learning AND memorizing choreography and feel comfortable getting down and back up from the floor as well as answer yes to ONE or more of these questions:

  • Have you completed Level 1 Group Choreo?

  • Have you completed Burlesque Act Development?

  • Have you taken 20 or more movement classes?

Expectations and Details:

Costume! Students will be required to supply their own costume pieces and shoes that align with given structure and colors as well as add embellishments supplied by the instructor.

Rehearse! Students are expected to spend a minimum of 30 minutes per week outside of class practicing their choreography. Their will be a video posted to a private Facebook group each week for reference!

All classes/ rehearsals are required! We know emergencies happen, but if you anticipate missing more than 1 class, please do not  register for this series. This is for your benefit!

General Admission: $325.

GA Early Bird Rate: $305 with code STAGE25 by March 14th

BIPOC Rate: $285 with code STAGE25B (no expiration).

PAYMENT PLAN:

GA Rate: 4 payments of $81.25 each with code: STAGE25G4.

BIPOC Rate: 4 payments of $71.25 each with code: STAGE254B.

Payment plan due dates: March 17th, 31st, April 14th, and 28th.

How do I register using payment plan?

Make your first payment by following the directions below:

  4. Click checkout.

  5. Click continue.

  6. Enter the appropriate code from above and click apply. This will reduce the amount due to your correct price for your first payment. Enter your payment info and complete checkout.

    How do I make my remaining payments? 

    You will be invoiced for your second payment and all subsequent payments. You will receive the invoices via email from Vagaro. 

    You will NOT be automatically charged for your remaining payments!

Ginger Leigh has choreographed, ideated, and artistically directed countless group numbers for the Peek-A-Boo Revue over the span of 16 years. She was a key creator and artistic contributor when The Boo won the title of Best Troupe twice at The Burlesque Hall of Fame. Ginger can not wait for her students to feel the power and energy that comes from the rehearsal journey and the act of performing with a bevy of burly-q badasses live on stage!

Refunds are available until MARCH 14TH.

After this date, no refunds or transfers will be given. You will be emailed a cancellation policy acknowledgement form upon registration.
