Embody your music with Eva Mystique!
There are the main components that comprise an act: costume, song choice, makeup, hair and choreography; and then there are the more subtle elements that truly bring an act to life. Musicality is one of those elements. It allows the audience to witness the intimate conversation you’re having with the music; and “see” parts of the music they would have not noticed before. In this class, we’ll be learning to hear music in a new way and creatively match our movements to the different parts of a song.
Be prepared to create short bits of choreography as we practice exploring different movements with different elements of music. We’ll explore gracefully moving between percussive and melodic sections of songs; and practice building to an impactful climax in an act.
Level: All levels are welcome!
What to wear: Comfortable clothing you can move in. Heels are optional.
What to bring: Note taking materials and water.
