While most are accustomed to seeing burlesque numbers utilizing a pair of feather fans, in this workshop you'll learn how to stand out from the crowd by dancing with a single fan!
Merge movement and music, and discover how to wield a fan in a way that elevates traditional fan dances. Throughout this experience, you'll learn the subtle nuances of musicality and innovative ways to manipulate the fan, adding new movement and choreography to your repertoire.
Have a feather fan? Bring it!
No fan? Small featherless fans will be available for use during class.
Level: All levels welcome!
What to wear: Comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. Heels/ dance shoes optional.
Please bring a water bottle.

Hailing from NYC, Gin Minsky is an award-winning internationally-renowned tap dancer, burlesque performer, and sword swallower. For the last two decades, she has captivated audiences worldwide with her unique blend of high glamour, specialized dance acts and sideshow spectacle. A seven-time invited performer at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, she won the “Most Classic” award in 2017, and is the 2026 Reigning Queen of Burlesque. She is also one of only 100 female sword swallowers in the world. From Coney Island's Circus Sideshow to grand international stages, her acts continue to leave audiences in awe.
