Eventually she went up and down the East Coast often seen breaking-hearts up on the ‘Bally’. She played the Cotton Club in Florida and even did impromptu chorus gal routines at the Latin Quarter. She hasn’t slowed down yet. These days you can still catch her appearing beside her grand-daughter Penny Starr Jr. She will be back as a performing Legend during the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, NV.

Pillow Talk (also known as Pillow Talks) is about the power dynamics of performing, chiefly through the experiences she has had over her long arc as a stage-artist.
During a 90 minute session, Pillow will regale you with:
A short summation of this “Ted-Talk’ of burlesque is this: “How I tried this – and it didn’t work. So now you don’t have to suffer as i did. The mortifications of my many yesterdays can indeed become today’s amusing anecdote, and lessons for your enrichment.”
Beginning as an exotic dancer in 1976, Pillow was already an outspoken advocate and pioneer in the nascent world of women’s physique, both as an entertainer and model. She boasts many titles as a competitor and gained national attention on a variety of muscle magazines in the early 1980s. In 1995 she won the title of Miss Exotic World at what is now known as The Burlesque hall of Fame. She refused to switch from old-style stripping to the modern exotic “in-your-face & lap” format, committed (instead) to being an example of “The good ol’ days” of burlesque all thru the 1980s & 1990s. Her home base remained Anchorage nightclub, PJ’s, for 2 decades, until her untimely retirement in 2000. Though in reality she remained an artist via costume & character work was her stage time status quo, a seasoned CosPlayer long before the term was coined, she performed as Princess Leia to her partner’s Darth Vader on stage when the movie was new in the theaters (1977). She also performed as a variety of Klingons in latter years. AND is known (rightfully) as the ONLY Burlesque Legend to speak and write in Klingon.
